Bar Sales Volumes Increased Month-On-Month And Year-On-Year In February

According to the Retail Sales Index February 2022 (Provisional) January 2022 (Final) report from the Central Statistics Office (CSO), the volume of sales in bars increased month-on-month and year-on-year in February of 2022.

Details

The report, which was published on the CSO's website, states that the volume of sales in bars increased by 13.9% in February of 2022 from January of 2022, and that there was a 726% year-on-year volume of sales increase in bars in the second month of this year.

While the volume of bar sales increased both month-on-month and year-on-year in February of this year, it was 30.2% less than the volume of sales recorded for pre-COVID-19 pandemic February of 2020, according to the CSO.

Food, Beverage & Tobacco (Specialised Stores) Sales

Meanwhile, the volume of food, beverages & tobacco (specialised stores) sales increased by 19.3% in February of 2022 compared to pre-COVID-19 February of 2020, according to the CSO's data.
