Two Dublin pubs went under the hammer today at the Allsop auction in the RDS. The Deadman's Inn in Palmerstown and The Drake Inn in Finglas were the two pubs on offer. The Deadman's Inn (pictured) had a reserve of €380,000-€420,000 and was sold for €410,000. The Drake Inn had a reserve of €450,000-€490,000 and was sold for €610,000.
The pubs were only two of the properties on offer in the auction, which also included nearly €40 million worth of commercial and residential property. The vast majority of properties on offer were sold and the auction was extremely busy, with over 1,000 people attending.
Allsop said that the response to the auction shows a "resurgence" in the property market.
