Boojum To Open In Tallaght Next Week

Mexican burrito bar Boojum will open a new store in The Square Shopping Centre in Tallaght on Friday, April 12 at 11:30am.

The opening has created 30 jobs, both part time and full time, and is the third out of town Dublin location following Blanchardstown and Liffey Valley.

Boojum will be giving away free burritos to the first 200 customers.

'Phenomenal'

“Following on from our announcement that we were opening in The Square, the excitement and anticipation from Boojum fans across the Tallaght area has been phenomenal," said Robert Powell, head of operations for Boojum.

"Their enthusiasm has solidified to us that opening in The Square is a great decision and is already showing signs that it will be a very busy restaurant indeed!”

The store is situated within the unit that previously housed Wow Burger, customers can enjoy sit-in, takeaway, click ‘n’ collect, and delivery services.

The Tallaght opening follows on from the announcement of the company’s expansion into Great Britain this year, with its first GB store in Leeds also opening this month.

'Excitement And Anticipation'

“We are delighted to welcome the Boojum team to The Square! This has been a very exciting development, and it has been a pleasure to work with the guys over the last few months in preparation for the store’s opening," said Jack Martin, director of retail at The Square.

"Our own staff have been inundated with questions about when the official opening will be, so we can see that the excitement and anticipation is certainly building!”
