Loam Of Galway Announces Closure

Loam of Galway has announced that it is closing down.

Details

A statement published on the restaurant’s official Instagram account read, ‘It’s with mixed emotions we are posting this. Loam will not be reopening in its current location in Fairgreen this spring. We have been given the opportunity to be released from our lease and we have decided, after much deliberation, to accept this offer. The cost of running such a large space right now is insane and it doesn’t look like it’s going to get any easier. In the background we are working on a new project and of course our other premises, Éan, will be running as usual.’

National Hospitality Award Winner

During its time in business, Loam earned a number of accolades, including Michelin-star status, and it is a previous National Hospitality Awards winner, in the category of Best Restaurant in Ireland.
