Number Of Deliveroo Restaurant Partners In Ireland Increases By 50%

The number of restaurants on the Deliveroo platform in Ireland increased by 50% during the first six months of 2020 as more restaurants focussed on deliveries due to COVID-19-related closures.

Over 600 new restaurants on the island of Ireland signed up to Deliveroo during the first half of the year, with 64% of new sign ups being in Dublin, 11% being in Cork, 6% being in Galway, 4% being in Limerick and 15% being in Belfast.

Deliveroo now has over 1,800 Irish restaurant partners, and is currently on track to meet a 2,000 restaurant partner target that it set for itself in early 2020.

Working To "Optimise" Delivery Operations

Deliveroo chief executive Will Shu stated, "We are here to deliver for restaurants that want to carry on offering amazing food to families at home during this difficult time. We are working with restaurants to optimise their operations for delivery, and we are doing everything we can to make sure people still have access to the food they want and need."
