The premises that was formerly home to celebrity chef Gary Rhodes restaurant in The Capel Building at St Mary's Abbey, Dublin 7, has been sold for €1.4 million.
Its sale, handled by DNG auction group, exceeded the original guide price by 80 per cent after being put on the market for €780,000, reports the Irish Independent.
Gareth Noone of DNG commented that the premises attracted strong interest from restaurateurs, with three operators ultimately competing for it. The property's key selling point was having fully fitted units, allowing for it to be quickly re-opened by the winning bidder, and extends to 960 square metres over lower ground, ground and mezzanine floors.
