Three Firms Vie For Right To Develop St. James's Gate Urban Centre

Property firms Hines, Ballymore and U&I are the final three bidders seeking to develop part of Guinness's St. James's Gate Brewery into a new urban centre.

Final Proposals

Diageo announced plans to redevelop 12 acres of its St. James's Gate complex for housing, offices, shops and businesses last year and sources says that the above three firms are required to submit final proposals for the job to Diageo this month, as reported by The Irish Times.

Diageo plans to keep several buildings within the 12-acre site, including Arthur Guinness’s home and St James’s Gate itself, and redevelopment costs are expected to remain unknown until the drinks company signs a partner.
