Copper Face Jacks Records Profits Of €5m Last Year

Popular Dublin nightclub Copper Face Jacks has had another strong year as it reported pre-tax profits of €5 million last year, up from €4.9 million in 2014.

Newly-filed accounts for Breanagh Catering show that the firm's gross profits, which includes 'other operating income', increased by 8.6 per cent from €10.45 to €11.35 million, reports The Irish Independent.

'Coppers', which is co-owned by former garda Cathal Jackson, also saw a rise in its cash pile, up from €51 to €54.8 million last year. The venue has six bars, two beer gardens, a cocktail bar, a private function area that can cater for up to 300 people and is open seven days a week.

The accounts show that the number of employees increased from 193 to 195 and that the firm's tangible assets had a book value of €13.17 million. Although the directors' pay was not disclosed last year, in 2014 they paid themselves over €10,000 per week, sharing a total of €611,786 in pay.
