BWG Foods has introduced its new dedicated meat and master butchery arm, William's Gate, at Ireland's largest foodservice and hospitality event, CATEX, which is taking place this week at the RDS Simmonscourt in Dublin.
William's Gate is a supplier of meats to food businesses all over Ireland and is now a core part of the foodservice offering from BWG Foods to restaurants, hotels, gastropubs, public and private institutions in Ireland. From BWG's facility in Galway, William's Gate supplies steaks, pork, lamb and chicken, as well as a range of breakfast and deli meats and bespoke custom burger blends.
Commenting, Simon Marriott, chief operations officer, BWG Foods, said, "We are thrilled to be able to introduce William's Gate, our new facility in the heart of Galway that is able to satisfy all the protein needs of the catering industry at this year's CATEX Exhibition. We are passionate about providing the best quality meat to our customers, who include some of the leading restaurants, hotels, public and private institutions in Ireland, as well as to a host of retail consumers and butchers and William's Gate is a great addition to our Foodservice division."
Commenting, Ricky O'Brien, foodservice director, BWG Foods, said, "CATEX is a hugely important opportunity for BWG Foodservice to showcase our offering and how we can provide the best quality, home grown fare on the market to our customers, which now includes the team of highly skilled butchers, protein specialists and chefs at William's Gate. We are absolutely thrilled to have been named 'National Foodservice Supplier of the Year' [on the opening day of CATEX 2023] by the IFSA as it is reflective of the passion the team at BWG Foods has about food, its provenance, its preparation, how it’s cooked and how to ensure our customers receive only the best cuts of meat and most sumptuous tasting food from our full foodservice division."
