Belfast City Airport Is NI’s Most Punctual, According To CAA Data

Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) data lists Belfast City Airport as being Northern Ireland’s most punctual airport last year.

According to a statement published on BelfastCityAirport.com, the CAA’s data analyses scheduled and chartered flight arrivals and departures, and the data for 2022 indicated that Belfast City Airport matched the East Midlands and Exeter airports in the rankings.

The CAA’s data also indicated that Belfast City Airport was the joint third-most punctual airport in the UK last year.

Statement By Belfast City Airport Chief Executive

The statement published on BelfastCityAirport.com quoted its chief executive, Matthew Hall, as saying, “We continuously strive to deliver an excellent experience to the millions of passengers that travel through our airport every year, and are thrilled that Belfast City Airport has been crowned Northern Ireland’s most punctual airport once again.

“This news is a testament to the hard-working team at Belfast City Airport, who go above and beyond to ensure that our passengers have a smooth and comfortable trip.

“This is furthered by our six-minute average security processing time and convenient location – only five minutes from Belfast city centre.”

Belfast City Airport Gets New Service To Jersey

The aforementioned follows an announcement that a new service from Belfast City Airport to Jersey has commenced operations.

According to a separate statement published on BelfastCityAirport.com, the new service is being operated by Aer Lingus Regional service operator Emerald Airlines up to twice weekly.
