A new four-star Dalata hotel called the Samuel has officially opened at Spencer Place in Dublin.
The €39 million hotel is eight storeys in height and includes 204 bedrooms, the Samuel Bar and Grill, four meeting rooms on a dedicated meetings and events mezzanine level (with its own breakout lounge, overlooking the hotel’s ground floor), a fitness suite, and a Red Bean Roastery coffee shop that will be opening soon.
Statement By The Samuel’s General Manager
The Samuel’s general manager, Ann-Marie Traynor, stated, “We are truly thrilled to be opening the doors of the Samuel to visitors here in Dublin’s bustling city centre. We feel it is the ultimate destination for an activity-packed city break, a romantic getaway, or a business trip to the city.
“In Dublin, we are proud of our people, culture and history. We feel the connection between people and place is really reflected throughout the Samuel, whether that be the link to our literary legend, Samuel Beckett, in our name, or through the eye-catching art by local creatives visible throughout the Samuel Bar and Grill.
“Dublin truly is a city like no other, and we are extremely excited to see what the future has in store for us here at the Samuel, as we begin to welcome guests, both local and from afar. We hope everyone feels that four-star luxury experience as soon as they walk into our beautiful reception, as well as the genuine warmth you will get from our fantastic team.”
Statement By Tourism Ireland’s Chief Executive
Tourism Ireland’s chief executive, Niall Gibbons, stated, “As we restart overseas tourism to Ireland this year, the opening of the Samuel is very good news – and a vote of confidence in Irish tourism. We already work closely with the Dalata Hotel Group, and we look forward to cooperating with them to promote their newest hotel overseas. Congratulations and every good wish to the team at the Samuel!”
Statement By Ronan Group Real Estate’s CEO
The CEO of Ronan Group Real Estate (developer of the Samuel), Rory Williams, stated, “It was a pleasure to partner with Dalata to deliver their latest addition in Dublin City, the Samuel. Centrally located at Spencer Place, in the rejuvenated North Docklands, the spectacular interiors, facilities, and external features stand as an example for best-in-class architectural design. The exemplary structure will soon represent an instantly recognisable hotel in Dublin, further adding to the city’s tourism offering and the area’s standing as an excellent base for business and leisure visitors alike.”
