Nursing Homes Operator Said To Be Frontrunner To Acquire K Club

Dublin nursing homes operator and hotelier Michael Fetherston has become the preferred bidder to purchase Co. Kildare's five-star K Club hotel and golf resort.

According to The Irish Times, it is understood that two other bidders, both of which are foreign-based investors who own existing Irish hospitality assets, are also interested in acquiring the property, but Fetherston is currently the clear frontrunner and discussions with him are at an advanced stage.

It is expected that the sale of the property will be concluded in the coming months and that it will be purchased for a figure that is less than the €80 million asking price.

Primary Business Interest

Fetherston's primary business interest is the TLC nursing homes group, which owns and operates five facilities around the greater Dublin area.

Neither Fetherston nor selling agent Savills responded to requests from The Irish Times for comments.
