Smurfit Says K Club Sale Has Attracted A 'Nice Degree Of Interest'

Businessman Michael Smurfit has said that the sale of Co. Kildare's five-star K Club hotel and golf resort has attracted a "nice degree of interest".

However, speaking to The Irish Independent, Smurfit said that he has not yet entered into exclusive talks with any potential purchaser, nor has he set a specific timeline for the venue's sale.

Profile Of Potential Purchasers

Responding to The Irish Independent's request for comment on the profile of those who have expressed interest in acquiring the property, Smurfit said there have been enquiries from "People who have stayed there, and people who are friends of [his]."

The K Club originally hit the market in July of 2018 with a guide of €80 million.
