Tourism Minister Launches New Hospitality Brand, Original Irish Hotels

Minister for Tourism and Sport Brendan Griffin has officially launched a new hospitality brand entitled Original Irish Hotels. Comprised of a collection of 60 independently-owned venues, the new group's members are said to be committed to providing guests with "holidays with a story".

Talking to Independent.ie Travel, Original Irish Hotels operations and marketing director Roisín Wallace explained, "People want that authentic experience. This is not a chain, where you will get the same experience everywhere. They are all independent, individually owned, authentic experiences. No two stays will ever feel the same."

The group has taken the place of the Manor House Hotels and Irish Country Hotels collections, and is made up of a mixture of three and four-star venues, including castles such as Ballynahinch and city venues such as Dublin's Brooks Hotel, as well as an array of parkland resorts and country house hotels.
