Barnacles Hostels Of Dublin And Galway Put On The Market

Two hostels with a total of 289 bed spaces have been put on the market by private treaty via estate agency CBRE.

The Irish Times reports that the Barnacles hostels in both Temple Bar, Dublin, and at Quay Street in Galway are being offered for sale alongside a convenience store and leased restaurant in Galway city, with a combined value of over €11 million. The various assets are being offered in one or more lots.

The Dublin Barnacles Hostel includes 171 bed spaces across 35 rooms and three floors, with a mixture of bunk and single beds in both private and shared rooms, all of which are en suite. The venue also includes public areas and kitchen space.

Meanwhile, the primary four-storey Galway Barnacles Hostel building features 112 bed spaces with six additional beds available in two buildings, called Kirwan's Lane townhouse and Teach Ard, to the rear of the main property.

According to John Hughes of CBRE, both hostels are being offered in turnkey condition with no significant capital expenditure required.
