Deliveroo To Launch In Waterford

Food delivery firm Deliveroo has announced that it will launch in Waterford this month.

Details

Deliveroo stated, "Following a strong half-year of growthDeliveroo has today announced that it is planning to expand its footprint in Ireland by launching in Waterford on the 26th August, as part of its broader expansion plans across the UK and Ireland.

"The increased investment in the Irish market will see Deliveroo work with more riders and drivers in the south-east region, in addition to where the company already operates in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway.

"Deliveroo, which launched in Ireland in 2015, works with more than 1,000 self-employed riders across these cities.

"Deliveroo's move into Waterford will also be a boost for local restaurants as the food delivery company helped many restaurants implement new delivery services to stay afloat when doors were closed to the public at the onset of the pandemic. By signing up with Deliveroo, restaurants can grow their business by widening their customer base and increasing sales."

"Within the last month restaurants that signed up to the platform include KFC and WOWBurger. The company is already in the process of signing up potential restaurant partners in Waterford, offering them the opportunity to expand their customer base further than before."
