Dublin Airport's Passenger Traffic Increased Year-On-Year In February

The number of people that passed through Dublin Airport decreased by 35% in February when compared to pre-COVID-19 pandemic levels in February of 2020, to 1.3 million, but passenger traffic last month increased by 1.2 million passengers when compared to February of last year, according to a statement published on Dublin Airport's website.

Europe, UK And North America Traffic

Passenger volumes to and from continental Europe declined by 26% compared to pre-pandemic 2020 levels in the second month of the year to 755,000 people, which was an increase of 693,000 compared to the same month last year, while passenger traffic to and from the UK declined by 43% compared to pre-pandemic 2020 levels to 443,000 passengers, which was an increase of 423,000 when compared to February of 2021, and passenger traffic to and from North America declined by 50% compared to pre-pandemic 2020 levels to 90,000 passengers, which was an increase of 76,000 passengers compared to February of 2021, according to the statement published on Dublin Airport's website.

Other International And Domestic Traffic

Meanwhile, other international passenger traffic to and from the Middle East declined by 44% compared to pre-pandemic 2020 levels in February to 34,000 passengers, which was an increase of 25,000 when compared to 2021, and the number of people who travelled on domestic routes in February of this year declined by 25% compared to February of 2020 to 5,000, which was an increase of 4,500 when compared to February of 2021, according to the statement published on Dublin Airport's website.

First Two Months

The number of people who passed through Dublin Airport during the first two months of 2021 declined by 44% compared to the same period in 2020 to more than 2.3 million, which was an increase of 626% when compared with the same period in 2021.
