Tourism Ireland Welcomes Inaugural Widerøe Flight From Bergen To Dublin

Tourism Ireland has warmly welcomed the launch of Norwegian airline Widerøe’s new flight from Bergen to Dublin.

Helping To Boost Tourism From Norway To The Island Of Ireland This Year

The airline will operate two flights per week on the route, helping to boost tourism from Norway to the island of Ireland this year.

Tourism Ireland invited five Norwegian travel journalists to fly to Dublin on the inaugural flight and visit Ireland.

Aim Of The Visit

The aim of the journalists’ visit was to highlight the new flight to Norwegian holidaymakers, showcase some of the many things to see and do in Ireland, and inspire their readers to follow in their footsteps.

Emer Mac Diarmada, Tourism Ireland’s manager for the Nordic region, said, “The new Widerøe flight from Bergen to Dublin is great news for Irish tourism. As an island destination, we know the importance of direct, non-stop flights cannot be overstated – there’s a proven correlation between access and growth in visitor numbers – so this new flight will be an important factor in growing visitor numbers from Norway. We look forward to working closely with Widerøe, to maximise the promotion of this new service to Dublin.”
