Harcourt Secures €60m In Bookings Revenue, As It Readies Titanic Hotel For Opening

Harcourt Developments' hotel division secured revenues of  €60m last year, with the company stating that it has not yet been overly affected by Brexit.

Earlier this month, Harcourt Developments showcased its new £28 million Titanic Hotel in Belfast to the media ahead of its public opening in early September.

According to the Irish Examiner, Harcourt Developments owns six hotels in Ireland, including the Titanic Belfast, and three of which are in Donegal, while it also owns properties in the UK, Jersey, and the Caribbean. The group's hotel assets include the Aspect Hotel in Dublin and Lough Eske Castle in Donegal.

The company's hotel arm has 300,000 rooms to sell a year, which account for 25% of the group's overall activities.

"In 2016 the Irish properties preformed most strongly and were profitable. Room revenue and average spend increased. UK number also increased in occupancy and rate by 7%," said a spokesperson for the company, which employs 450 staff in Ireland and 352 in the UK.
