McGettigan Group Owners Launch New Hotel Brand Called The Address Collective

McGettigan Hotel Group owners Brian and Ciara McGettigan have launched a new luxury accommodation brand called The Address Collective.

The new brand, which cost €16 million to develop, was inspired by the success of The Address hotel on Dublin's Amiens Street. Its portfolio consists of The North Star Hotel and The Address in Dublin 1, The Kingswood Hotel in Citywest, Co. Dublin, and the Ambassador Hotel in Cork, which have been rebranded as The Address Connolly, The Address Citywest and The Address Cork, respectively.

The Address Collective's hotels have a combined room count of 480 and the brand employs 300 people.

The Address Collective is also adding a further 40 bedrooms to The Address Connolly, and has recently secured full planning permission for a new hotel on Parnell Street/Capel Street in Dublin. The Parnell Street/Capel Street hotel, which will be called The Address Parnell, will cost €34 Million to develop and is planned to open in 2022.

"Confident"

Brian McGettigan stated, "While launching a new hotel brand during an unprecedented crisis like COVID-19 is challenging, our long-term vision for The Address Collective remains steadfast and on track to grow market share. We are confident that our brand offering is one that corporate and leisure guests will seek out.

"Our strategy is to expand the brand in Ireland, the UK and Europe through a combination of purchases, leases and joint ventures.

"The current crisis has changed not only the trading landscape of the hospitality industry, it has changed the entire world. Similar to many other businesses, we have had to adapt quickly to create a safe trading environment for our customers and staff. All properties have successfully completed the Failté Ireland COVID-19 safety charter. The safety of our guests and staff is at the fore, and is a key priority for The Address Collective."
