Pre-Tax Profits Decrease At Dublin's Dropping Well Pub

Pre-tax profits at The Dropping Well pub of Milltown, Dublin 6, decreased 22.5% to €675,529 during the year that ended on October 31, 2018.

The pub's turnover also decreased, dropping 9% to €10.4 million from €11.4 million the previous year, as reported by Drinks Industry Ireland.

Meanwhile, staff numbers increased from 136 to 143 and staff costs decreased 10% to €3.6 million.

The venue's total profits for the period amounted to €529,395.

Old Orchard Inn

The Dropping Well is owned by Charlie and Bernice Chawke. News of its statistics for the year that ended on October 31 last year follows last week's news that Charlie Chawke's Old Orchard Inn pub recorded earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of €1.12 million for last year.
